Romans 8:8<\/p>\n<p>As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one:&#8221; Romans 3:10<\/p>\n<p>And so, if we are to ever have a relationship with God our prime need, our first need is this \u2013 to be forgiven.\u00a0\u00a0God will help us in other areas of our lives \u2013 but first and foremost we need to see our need of forgiveness which comes from a merciful God.<\/p>\n<p>Sin is definitely, a\u00a0relationship breaker. \u00a0How many times, if you can even count them, has sin caused you problems and difficulties in relationships. We know that is true. How much more so in our relationship with God.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;He hath not dealt with us after our sins; nor rewarded us according to our iniquities&#8221;. Psalm 103.10 \u00a0However, God\u2019s mercy means that he does not treat us as our sins deserve. \u00a0We are deserving of destruction and punishment and condemnation. But God\u2019s mercy means that we are not treated as our sins deserve. God\u2019s mercy means we can be forgiven.<\/p>\n<p>Refer also to:\u00a0Ephesians 2:4-9<\/p>\n<div class=\"p\"><span class=\"verse v4\" data-usfm=\"EPH.2.4\"><span class=\"content\">&#8220;But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us,<\/span><\/span><\/div>\n<div class=\"p\"><span class=\"verse v5\" data-usfm=\"EPH.2.5\"><span class=\"content\">Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved;)<\/span><\/span><\/div>\n<div class=\"p\"><span class=\"verse v6\" data-usfm=\"EPH.2.6\"><span class=\"content\">And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus:<\/span><\/span><\/div>\n<div class=\"p\"><span class=\"verse v7\" data-usfm=\"EPH.2.7\"><span class=\"content\">That in the ages to come he might shew the exceeding riches of his grace in his kindness toward us through Christ Jesus.<\/span><\/span><\/div>\n<div class=\"p\"><span class=\"verse v8\" data-usfm=\"EPH.2.8\"><span class=\"content\">For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:<\/span><\/span><\/div>\n<div class=\"p\"><span class=\"verse v9\" data-usfm=\"EPH.2.9\"><span class=\"content\">Not of works, lest any man should boast.&#8221;<\/span><\/span><\/div>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>God is a forgiving God and rich and plenteous in His mercy, The condition attach \u00a0to this is : &#8220;to all who call on Him&#8221;.
