The past is not the future &#8211; under no circumstances, let them be a weight that weighs us down, for they do not belong in our lives. We are now a new person \u2013 don\u2019t go back to the days of yore for we were a vastly different person then.<\/p>\n<p>We need to learn what we can from the past but it had to be placed in perspective let it be a learning experience &#8211; do not let it imprisons us. We must not let the negative pasts have the power over us or the future. Let the painful memories go, let them be written in the sand so that they can be easily erased from our memories and remember them no more. Bring the past only if we are going to build from it. Don\u2019t look back because we are not going to go that way again. Release the past, stand firmly in the present, step confidently into the future, with God\u2019s help.<\/p>\n<p>Our life is like a book. Some of the characters who \u201centered\u201d have passing roles to play, others, much lengthier. But all are \u201cde rigueur\u201d, else they wouldn\u2019t be in the story-line, under the watchful eyes of God. Welcome them all, and move on to the next chapter which God countenances us to be the author and empowers us to write new chapters afresh.<\/p>\n<p>Let us appreciate and revel-in working and living in the present.
