The human mind has incredible potentials and what we plant, will take root, grow and flourish irrespective of what is planted in the fertile soil of our minds.. ~ Cheong Kok Weng

The human mind has incredible potentials and what we plant, will take root, grow and flourish irrespective of what is planted in the fertile soil of our minds – plant the good seeds,  not weeds, briars & thistles, and receive great crops.  ~ Cheong Kok Weng

What kind of seeds are we sowing into our minds? Would it not be a surprise if we planted grapes and briars came up or vice-versa? It is a natural law to reap what we sow.  Every action has results.

“Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, that he will also reap.  For he who sows to his flesh will of the flesh reap corruption, but he who sows to the Spirit will of the Spirit reap everlasting life.” Galatians 6: 7-8

God’s gift of today means there’s time NOW to change course when we travel in the wrong direction. ~ Cheong Kok Weng

Our lives are a gift from God; with a gift of each day – to be opened daily. Let’s then daily rise to the occasion and let’s make choices that are constructive, wholesome and nurturing. ~ Cheong Kok Weng

Credulity is belief against evidence, facts and truths…Cheong Kok Weng

It has been said that a wise man proportions his belief to the evidence.  We all have the rights to our own opinions; however facts remain factual even if they were to go against our opinions. God who endowed us with the mind – with sense, reason and intellect among others – has meant that we use it to arrive at the right verdict by weighing all the relevant evidence. Refusing to believe something in the face of facts is not skepticism, it is the height of credulity or if you prefer gullibilityCredulity is belief against evidence, facts and truths.  Let us stride forward towards freedom (Jesus said in John 8:32″ And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.”) as God has intended– governed by the light of reasons, evidence, knowledge, facts and truths  and not live in the shadows of credulity concerning creations around us . Through all of Creations, God’s wisdom, power and majesty is proclaimed clearly and it reverberates loudly (if only we care to listen) throughout the corridors of time. ~ Cheong Kok Weng

The great difficulty is to get modern audiences to realize that you are preaching Christianity solely and simply because you happen to think it true; they always suppose you are preaching it because you like it or think it good for society or something of that sort. Now a clearly maintained distinction between what the Faith actually says and what you would like it to have said or what you understand or what you personally find helpful or think probable, forces your audience to realize that you are tied to your data just as the scientist is tied by the results of the experiments; that you are not just saying what you like. This immediately helps them realize that what is being discussed is a question about objective fact — not gas about ideals and points of view. ~ C.S. Lewis

When you argue against God you are arguing against the very power that makes you able to argue at all: it is like cutting off the branch you are sitting on. ~ C.S. Lewis

The flying gurnards are a family, Dactylopteridae, of marine fish notable for their greatly enlarged pectoral fins. The pectoral fins are normally held against the body, but when threatened the fins are expanded in to scare predators.  Their name is derived from the French word ‘gurnard’ meaning to grunt, for the grunting sound this fish makes.  Since they cannot literally fly though and as they have heavy, protective, scales and another alternative name given by some is – helmet gurnards.

The vital aspect in life is the vital decisions in life…

The vital aspect in life is the vital decisions in life. The most vital decision in your life is the most vital aspect in your life – the eternal choice before you is of utmost importance. ~ Cheong Kok Weng    ……DON’T exchange your soul for the world.

As JESUS said -what does it profit a man if he gains the world and loses his soul? Our Creator asked us the most vital question in life for us while we are alive on planet earth.

Jesus accomplished the work of creation. He is Preeminent in all of creation, along with the Father and the Holy Spirit, as the CREATOR.

Colossians 1:16 says of Jesus –  For by Him all things were created that are in heaven and that are on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or principalities or powers. All things were created through Him and for Him.”  “All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made.”

“In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made. In Him was life, and the life was the light of men. And the light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not comprehend it.” John 1:1-5

God the Father as saying to His Son, [God the Son is of the same essence as God the Father and God the Holy Spirit. God the Father and God the Son in the TRINITY shows us the relational dimension within the Godhead.] in Hebrews 1:8-10

But to the Son He says:

“Your throne, O God, is forever and ever;

A scepter of righteousness is the scepter of Your kingdom.

You have loved righteousness and hated lawlessness;

Therefore God, Your God, has anointed You

With the oil of gladness more than Your companions.”

And:

“You, Lord, in the beginning laid the foundation of the earth,

And the heavens are the work of Your hands.

“You, LORD, in the beginning laid the foundation of the earth,

And the heavens are the work of Your hands”.

God is the all-powerful God and that power is made manifest throughout all creation…

Our ALL powerful Creator gave us the great functionality of choice – use it wisely as we are answerable for it. ~Cheong Kok Weng

God is the omnipotent – the all-powerful God and that power is made manifest throughout all creation. We will be fully held responsible for the choices we made. Likewise if we reject His overtures of reconciliation through the Cross of Calvary we will be held fully accountable and we have therefore consented to be out of His Kingdom in heaven.

The gospel of Christ is the power of God to salvation for everyone who believes.

For in it the righteousness of God is revealed from faith to faith; as it is written,“The just shall live by faith.” 18 For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who suppress the truth in unrighteousness, 19 because what may be known of God is manifest in them, for God has shown it to them.20 For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even His eternal power and Godhead, so that they are without excuse, 21 because, although they knew God, they did not glorify Him as God, nor were thankful, but became futile in their thoughts, and their foolish hearts were darkened. 22 Professing to be wise, they became fools, 23 and changed the glory of the incorruptible God into an image made like corruptible man—and birds and four-footed animals and creeping things.24 Therefore God also gave them up to uncleanness, in the lusts of their hearts, to dishonor their bodies among themselves, 25 who exchanged the truth of God for the lie, and worshiped and served the creature rather than the Creator, who is blessed forever. Amen.26 For this reason God gave them up to vile passions. For even their women exchanged the natural use for what is against nature. 27 Likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust for one another, men with men committing what is shameful, and receiving in themselves the penalty of their error which was due.28 And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a debased mind, to do those things which are not fitting; 29 being filled with all unrighteousness, sexual immorality, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, strife, deceit, evil-mindedness; they are whisperers, 30 backbiters, haters of God, violent, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents, 31 undiscerning, untrustworthy, unloving, unforgiving, unmerciful; 32 who, knowing the righteous judgment of God, that those who practice such things are deserving of death, not only do the same but also approve of those who practice them. Romans 1:17-32

CHOICES:endeavour to make right choices…

CHOICES:endeavour to make right choices, make it a point to make U-turn, learned from & don’t repeat wrong ones – with God’s help. ~ Cheong Kok Weng

Rainbow

The rainbow is a sign or ‘signature’ of God’s covenant between Himself and all flesh that is on earth – waters shall no more become a flood to destroy all flesh. See Genesis 9:11-17

CHOICES: endeavour to make right choices at all times; make it a point to make U-turn, learned from & don’t repeat wrong ones – with God’s help. God empowers us with choices and with that, Implicitly allows us to make U-turns on the choices we had made; though sometimes not without consequences from the wrong choices made earlier – all the more important for us to make the right choice in the first instance.

We need to be wise in out dealings, not to bear grudges, pay scant regards to detractors who viewed your actions through coloured lenses – with biased perspective,  learned from the past errors and conduct ourselves accordingly with dignity.
