The account of the Resurrection of Jesus

“In the end of the sabbath, as it began to dawn toward the first day of the week, came Mary Magdalene and the other Mary to see the sepulchre. And, behold, there was a great earthquake: for the angel of the Lord descended from heaven, and came and rolled back the stone from the door, and sat upon it. His countenance was like lightning, and his raiment white as snow: And for fear of him the keepers did shake, and became as dead men. And the angel answered and said unto the women, Fear not ye: for I know that ye seek Jesus, which was crucified. He is not here: for he is risen, as he said. Come, see the place where the Lord lay. And go quickly, and tell his disciples that he is risen from the dead; and, behold, he goeth before you into Galilee; there shall ye see him: lo, I have told you. And they departed quickly from the sepulchre with fear and great joy; and did run to bring his disciples word. And as they went to tell his disciples, behold, Jesus met them, saying, All hail. And they came and held him by the feet, and worshipped him. Then said Jesus unto them, Be not afraid: go tell my brethren that they go into Galilee, and there shall they see me.”

Good Friday – the day Death Died.

images

On the first Good Friday, Jesus died on the cross in yours and my place – He assumed (took) and paid the FULL PENALTY of our sin.

Good Friday is the Friday preceding Easter Sunday, and commemorates the crucifixion of Jesus Christ and his death on the Cross at Calvary.

We can celebrate on Good Friday because Christ’s death was a sacrifice so that we could receive the gift of eternal life. Jesus bore our sins, shame, and burden on the cross. The results changed the course of humanity!

“It’s Good Friday. Good because 2000 years ago the events of that day proved that we matter to God.  “God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten son.” John 3:16

“On this Good Friday may we never forget the true meaning of Easter – ‘For when He was on the cross, I was on His mind.”

Pastor abducted in a military liked precision in broad daylight in Kuala Lumpur on 2017.2.13 & is still missing.

world-council-of-churches-on-pastor-koh-data

A pastor by the name of Raymond Koh was abducted in Petaling Jaya (greater Kuala Lumpur), Malaysia on Feb 13, 2017 at about 10:50 a.m.  and the pastor has been missing since.

The right thinking citizens of the country were highly suspicious; after viewing a recording of the blatant terrorising abduction that was carried out with militaristic precision, accompanied by the loud silence from the authorities – the cavernous sound of silence is reverberating incessantly throughout the corridors of the entire land. A candle light vigil in a few cities in Malaysia for Pastor Raymond Koh was held on Mar 5, 2017.

Do pray for the still missing pastor and the family.

Thank you and blessings.

Let’s rejoice over the daily sunrise and sunset that God gives us.

As we look back and see that we have travelled in the wrong direction, we have the choice to turn around.

Looking back & learn, and have the grace of letting go where needed; will enable us to move forward with the power of moving on in the right direction.

The past is still worth looking at especially when it brings us to the truth and helps us to take the necessary corrective action. The past is to help us see things in perspective, don’t let it hold us back, Look back to move forward.

Our life must be lived today and let’s step forward, keep moving in the right path. Make it an exciting journey henceforth with God’s help.

Embracing truths releases you from the power of lies and liberates you. ~ Cheong Kok Weng

Embracing truths liberates us and prevents us from being deceived.

Truth  is always consistent and can stand by itself and welcomes all sincere questions and never losses ground through the most rigorous inquiries. Facts stand with truths. With the truth, all given facts harmonise.

Truth is truth, even if it is comes from your enemy, that’s why it may be found anywhere.
There is no middle ground, what is not true is false.
Truth cannot contradict truth.
Truth is at the fulcrum of an upright character.
If we shut out truth, we open the door to lies and errors that take its place.
“The lip of truth shall be established for ever: but a lying tongue is but for a moment.”
‭‭Proverbs‬ ‭12:19‬ ‭

“..Behold, I make all things new…” Rev 21:5b

2017

Let this be a new beginning in 2017.
May we make a commitment to plan and act on priority and  grow daily. A New Year that gives us the strength and courage to change for the better.  A Desire changes nothing.  A Decision and Determination changes Everything… positively with God’s help.

And he that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new. And he said unto me, Write: for these words are true and faithful. And he said unto me, It is done. I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end. I will give unto him that is athirst of the fountain of the water of life freely.”   Revelation 21:5-6

Right choices and actions are the antidote to fears generated whilst not taking actions. ~ Cheong Kok Weng

We need to remind ourselves that the way to get things done is to BEGIN doing. DO not let the inaction of yesterday take hold of today – it need not be a yesterday of inaction all over again. Let yesterday’s failure be a building block for success today. Knowing the aforesaid and wishing is not enough, we must

DO.

We must remind our selves to do all we can, with what we have, wherever we are. Let our heart soar as high as it will.

May we make our live a masterpiece as God  has intended us to be.

The choice we take each day matters, each moment’s choice is ‘a stroke of a hammer, as a stone is broken by the last strike’ ~ Cheong Kok Weng

Success is the result of sustained efforts – as the last blow of the hammer breaks the stone, it does not mean that the first couple of stokes were useless.

Choices. Every day, we’re faced with a seemingly perpetual array of choices that ultimately determine the course we travel. Life is made up of choices and depending on our choice, we must live with the result of that decision.

Making the correct choices are important aspect in our lives and the consequences of those choices span a wide amplitude and range of prospective impact in our lives.

If you were given only one choice: To choose or not to choose, which would you choose?

Choosing to live one’s life by one’s own choice is the greatest freedom one will ever have.  It is only when we exercise our right to choose that we can also exercise our right to change.

Ultimately the important choices in our daily live involves our lifestyle choices that underline the core belief we have concerning our real faith in God.

Faith is not believing in things for which there is no evidence, Believing in such things is not faith but wishful thinking at best. Christian faith, on the other hand, is believing in things for which there is evidence. The testimony of history in Luke 1: 1-4 for instance; the evidence of God and His handiwork in nature  as in Romans 1: 18-32 and more, give us reason to believe in God’s promises.

Forasmuch as many have taken in hand to set forth in order a declaration of those things which are most surely believed among us,

Even as they delivered them unto us, which from the beginning were eyewitnesses, and ministers of the word;

It seemed good to me also, having had perfect understanding of all things from the very first, to write unto thee in order, most excellent Theophilus,

That thou mightest know the certainty of those things, wherein thou hast been instructed.” Luke 1: 1-4

Romans 1:18-32

18 For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness;

19 Because that which may be known of God is manifest in them; for God hath shewed it unto them.

20 For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse:

21 Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened.

22 Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools,

23 And changed the glory of the uncorruptible God into an image made like to corruptible man, and to birds, and fourfooted beasts, and creeping things.

24 Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonour their own bodies between themselves:

25 Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen.

26 For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature:

27 And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet.

28 And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient;

29 Being filled with all unrighteousness, fornication, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, debate, deceit, malignity; whisperers,

30 Backbiters, haters of God, despiteful, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents,

31 Without understanding, covenantbreakers, without natural affection, implacable, unmerciful:

32 Who knowing the judgment of God, that they which commit such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but have pleasure in them that do them.

Choose to live in the PRESENT and .. let go of the past. ~ Cheong Kok Weng

img_9572

In the present, we can choose to grow, to improve, to achieve and be fulfilled by immersing in the present, daily … to reach the great potential that God has endowed us with … and with His help.

Remember to catch the beauty of the moments, daily too.

… and in anticipation of an endless great future with God.

“Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.” 2 Corinthians 5:17

“The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament sheweth his handywork.

Day unto day uttereth speech, and night unto night sheweth knowledge.

There is no speech nor language, where their voice is not heard.

Their line is gone out through all the earth, and their words to the end of the world. In them hath he set a tabernacle for the sun,” Psalm 19:1-4

“I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God.

And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.” Revelation 21:3-4
